Google has officially announced "Ice Cream Sandwich" - Android 3.1

It is a feature rich update and Multi platform update.

Android 3.1 is available for smart phones as well as Tablet PC's too.

The main feature of Ice Cream Sandwich are:

1. 3D system support - now it is possible to integrate an android device with three dimensional environment.

2. Kinet support: Now the android OS is capable of detecting multi external moves.

3. Extended USB support. We can able to connect all external accessories like keyboard, game pads and flight sticks.

4. Re sizable home screen widgets.

5.  Extended HTTP proxy for Wi-fi access point.

Currently this update is available for Verizon's Xoom. And the update follows Google TV as well as Galaxy tab 10.1 in due course
