              As we are getting closer to release date of Ubislate 7+ a.k.a Akash tablet, finally Datawind is taking some steps to regain lost confidence of many Indians who booked their Ultra-low cost Android device. As per their status update on official Facebook page, users can check their booking as well as delivery status of Ubislate tablet from their official website.

       Enter your Booking ID (Ex:P0123456789) in the search bar and  hit enter. Detailed delivery status is displayed on your computer screen.








Note: Currently they are in a process of linking database to site so, the site may display Invalid booking id Error Message. Wait until they link database to site. I'll be updating this post whenever the process gets completes.


Update:
As per available information from internal sources, Ubislate 7+ will be released on March 15. Earlier it was scheduled to launch on End of the first week of March but, due to aap ki app contest deadline (final submission) extension to March 09 launch date has stretched further.

One more thing to remember that, the status check link also will work only after official product launch. You may even check the delivery status with the mobile number which you used while pre-booking of the product

Update:
Many people are getting fed up with CRM of Datawind. When I spoke with one of the internal source of Datawind he told that. commercial product will be made available to general public only after the supply to Government. This contractual restriction is delaying the product launch. As of know I can only say, wait for official launch....

1. What is Ubislate 7+?
Ans: It is the upgraded version of akash tablet. At initial days of pre-book it was being promoted as Ubislate 7 and basic version with the name of Akash tablet only. It is to be noted that, now basic version is called as Ubislate 7 & Upgraded version is Ubislate 7+.

2. How much do I need to pay for the basic version?

3.I have booked my tablet in mid December it self. They said that the product will be delivered in within 7 days. But till now I haven't received the product. What should I do now?
Ans: If a mail delivered to you stating booking id, then no need to worry. Datawind team (maker of Ubislate) will communicate to either by e-mail or by phone. Wait for your turn.

4. How can I get tablet ASAP?
Ans: If you got mail from Datawind with the subject line saying" Your Aakash ablet PC is here! Delivery in 5-7 business days", please go through the mail choose one of the payment mode. I recommend online payment option as the cash on delivery makes you to wait for few more days.

5. Are there any contact number available to make any enquiry?

6. What is the exact delivery date for the product?
Ans: Generally, the people who booked the product in first week of booking(starting from Dec. 15) they may get the tablet in late january, 2012.
As per official website upto february the inventory is sold-out. If you book now you may get it on or after March 2012

7. Does the company provide Warranty for Akash tablet?
Ans: Both Ubislate 7 and Ubislate 7+ comes with 1 year warranty.

8. What type of the screen does the akash tablet will have? is it capacitive or Resistive screen?
Ans: Obviously it will comes with Resistive screen only(price tag is major constraint for this).

9. Does Ubislate 7+ support flash player?

As per Adobe's flash standards it is fully compatible.
Minimum requirements for flash support.

Ans: Basic version is having 2100 mAh battery - is expected to work for 1:30 - Hours with continuous usage. Ubislate 7+ is having 3200 mAh battery built in will work for 5-6 hours with continuous usage.
